Marc Jacobs, the man who keeps the fashion industry oohing and ahhing has shocked us once more. Every fashion season he rebels against the norm and this one is no different as he leaves the rulebook at home for this punk rock style fall campaign. The spread is unrefined, strange, and outlandish and for certain bold. Starting with the overall theme and ending with the casting of this campaign, Marc Jacobs does no wrong.
Marc’s fall campaign showcases the dark and haunted side of the nightlife; the beauties of the night, the broken hearted soul, the duo, the seductress, the curious, and the odd. Every kind of nightlife persona is featured in this exceptional groundbreaking campaign, but on top of Jacobs’s bold, after-dark theme, his revolutionary styling is nothing to sleep on – it’s something to speak on.
The company keeps it classic with an all-black theme. We all have heard the saying, “You can never have too much black” and that saying stands the test of time in this Marc Jacobs collection. This season Marc loves the glitter, fur, feathers and oversized coats. Not to mention the vintage dresses, jean and it wouldn’t be right not to mention the edgy and funky punk rock platforms. Marc Jacobs brings together tons of worldly styles in this all black collection.
Marc didn’t just surprise us with his revolutionary theme and styling, he shocked us with his eclectic casting choices. Jacobs’s debuted unique and notable personas like Missy Elliot, Marilyn Manson, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Courtney Love and many more. Marc Jacobs himself even appeared in this lovely haunted, untamed, punk campaign collection. Marc Jacobs obviously doesn’t believe in normality.
Breaking all norms, Marc Jacobs keeps the fashion industry guessing. He keeps us on our toes and this unrefined, strange, revolutionary punk style campaign does just that. From the casting to the styling to the overall vision Marc Jacobs continues to make groundbreaking work. Marc Jacobs is quoted on Marc Jacob’s website saying “this collection is a reminder to question and challenge the normal and continue exploring and pushing boundaries.” I don’t think anyone would argue with me that this campaign does just that. Thank you Marc Jacobs for this lovely contribution to fashion. We don’t know him as the legendary Marc Jacobs for nothing.
