After leaving his mark on Adidas sneakers, fashion designer Jeremy Scott took his influence one step further by adding his signature wings on the petite auto brand, Smart Car.
Scott teamed up with the German automaker to create the "Smart Forjeremy," a car with a vintage feel for the modern world. “I was really excited because I wanted to make something that would be new…something that people would recognize immediately as mine. It should feel sexy, exciting. It shouldn't feel nerdy,” Scott said.
To make the car sexy and un-nerdy, Scott added a glossy chrome and white exterior with a matching white leather interior and diamond-shaped stitching—something similar to a “luxurious handbag." Along with a futuristic, U-shaped steering wheel and fiery red fiberglass wings, which cleverly act as the car’s brake lights, Scott ingrained himself in history as the first fashion designer to ever alter the body of an automobile.
The “Smart Forjeremy” car will be available for purchase in early 2013 with prices starting at $25,000 for anybody who has a palate for portable couture.
