Emily’s lightly freckled face is gently illuminated by a subdued evening sky. Her smooth combover perfectly captures an uncaring, boyish attitude, as a subtle “tomboy” style unfolds spread by spread. A pale palette of pinks and blues is plunged into a rich, yet understated red tone, and then slouched against a brick wall, sloppily awash in white paint. Her attire– the creations of ICB– is modern and simple, yet within the clothes remains a sharp edge of sophistication. Whether it be a rigid, calf-fur biker jacket that exudes a feeling of utility, function, and quality, or an ordinary, blue oxford shirt subtly transformed by a delicate field of thin white feathers, the clothes are carefully considered and direct. Emily’s tomboy appearance doesn’t detract from her beauty, but rather emphasizes its effortlessness, as her soft, graceful take on the classic tomboy is perfectly captured in this brand new TWELV fashion story “ICB.”
