THE STREETERS #53 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

It’s Fashion Week in New York City! Bloggers, editors, stylists, models, fashion personalities, actors and fashionistas from all over the world descended on the Big Apple last Wednesday to join in this week-long celebration of sartorial exhibition. Any one looking to catch a glimpse of amazing looks need only step out of their front doors, but the greatest concentration of inspiring NYFW styles can be found at Lincoln Center before/after a runway show. TWELV sent photographers into the heart of the action to capture some of the boldest and most inspiring ensembles for your viewing pleasure.
Fur has been dominant this season, and this week was no exception. From Sherpa accented lapels to fox lined hoods to flowing scarves, this ever-vogue animal material was ubiquitous in both natural and dyed hues. Jessica Minkoff, Senior Fashion Editor at Vogue, was kind enough to pose for us in her draping blue fur coat looking warm and chic.
We saw looks that paid homage to timeless style, and those that leaned toward the future. Blogger Franko Dean kept it traditional with an expertly tailored three-piece in navy blue, while blogger Denisa Palsha pushed the envelope in an oversized green wool coat that covered an equally colorful floral-print pants suit.
Some kept things dark and monochromatic, adding one or two accents of vibrant color for the contrast, while others embraced a complete rainbow/ready-for-spring sensibility. And finally, fringe! From full-on stringy dresses to playful clutches, fringe in all lengths and colors was prevalent among NYFW attendees.
