Happy birthday to everyone’s favorite super model Kate Moss. The Brit enters her 40th year with grace, and she looks better than ever.
Supermodel, fashion icon, socialite and the world’s favorite it girl has amazed us with her stunning looks for a quarter century, and her model looks have definitely not faded with the years.
Moss was discovered at age 14, by model manager Sarah Doukas (whom top model Cara Delevingne also could thank for her career), when they were both waiting at JFK to fly back to London.
The British model holds a record number of magazine covers, including 66 worldwide Vogue covers under her belt, 33 of those specifically for British Vogue. She has also been on 17 i-D covers, and there is practically not a month gone by in her entire 26-year-long career where she has not graced a magazine cover. Even at age 40, she still trumps the vast majority of teenagers dominating the industry and has landed several current campaigns, including Vivienne Westwood and Versace.
This famous photo series was featured in our first issue of TWELV in the Joe McKenna story, and the shots taken by Bruce Weber from the late 80s is definitely one for the books.
