FENDI AND ICONIC WOMEN COME TOGETHER FOR PEEK-A-BOO CHARITY
Some of us may never be as flawless as CARA DELEVINGNE or ADELE but at least we can have a pocketbook that is. Italian Fashion House, FENDI, teamed up with 10 household names including actresses GWYNETH PALTROW and NAOMIE HARRIS, singer ADELE, models CARA DELEVINGNE and JERRY HALL, GEORGIA MAY JAGGER, architect ZAHA HADID, journalist KATE ADIE, fashion illustrator TANYA LING, and artist TRACEY EMIN to launch the Peek-a-Boo Project: a fund raising initiative.
Each celebrity worked closely with SILVIA VENTURINI FENDI, head of leather goods, and a FENDI artisan to design their bags to be auctioned from May 1st – 30th for Kids Company charity.
The Peekaboo project was also launched in celebration of the opening of the new London FENDI flagship store on Bond Street.
The Peekaboo bag, one of FENDI’s most iconic pocketbooks, was given a different spin by each celebrity. The designs match its designer. GWYNETH’s bag features shiny, white, crocodile-skin leather while CARA’s, also in white leather, features a large red “s” symbolizing “Superwoman.” Adele’s bag is covered in Selleria three-colored cuoio romano leather in Bordeaux, pink, and red and also features stitched-on, long feminine eye lashes that resembles Adele’s. It’s quite charming.
Whatever your personal style may be, there’s surely a purse to match it. Don’t miss your chance to snag your celebrity Peekaboo. At least this time you won’t feel guilty for shopping because after all, it’s for a good cause.
