VALENTINO S/S2015 READY-TO-WEAR

Maison Valentino, renowned for iconic and romantic Italian design showed their Spring 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week. Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were inspired by Italy during the 18th century for this Spring collection.
The models had fresh faces and simple hair. The shoes were subtle gladiator sandals reaching delicately to the ankle and sometimes to the knee. The clothing was a mixture of structured and flowing silhouettes with bold prints or intricate cutouts, lace, and embroidery. The collection transitioned effortlessly from solid colors with structured shapes, to dramatic large-scale prints, to slightly bohemian pastel colored dreamy ensembles, to stark white lace looks, and then to embroidered and embellished gowns. The fit of all the garments seemed easy and very wearable but the detail in the intricate lace, embroidery, and embellishments was truly impressive.
The looks and over all effect of the collection were stunning and romantic in that classically Valentino way.
