Italian designer René Caovilla has tapped into a new kind of sensual feminine energy with the launch of its latest campaign. Renowned for its elegance and unique sophistication, the brand has chosen a fresh face, Sicilian model Giulia Maenza, to represent its Fall/Winter 2017 line. Shot entirely in black and white, photographer Giampaolo Sgura directs attention to the natural contrast of light and dark within the dynamic female form. Each frame captures the effortlessly glamorous movement she takes, producing the ultimate vision of classic Milanese beauty. The heavily iconic style of the ‘60s is perfectly balanced by an airy minimal aesthetic within each look. The model breezily slips between personas with each pair of shoes—in pearl thong sandals she plays the part of fragile tomboy, and then transforms just as gracefully into a vixen vision in pumps. Within each image of the campaign, comes a story of vibrant passion. Embracing that which is both nostalgic and modern, this collection is tailor-made for the truly timeless woman.
