The theme of February 14th’s Moncler Grenoble Fall Ready-to-Wear collection was the “Love Factory” which was only fitting for being held on Valentines Day. In keeping with the romantic theme, the stage was a giant heart shaped chocolate box.
As the music began, the chocolate box’s lid lifted up and revealed empty platforms with moving hydraulic lifts.
25 couples dressed in 25 different sports themed outer wear (like the ice hockey couple, the ice skaters, and even surfers) were lifted from the chocolate box. The statuesque couples were elevated up and down at alternate times while remaining completely still on the platforms. The final look was a play on romance and sports; it featured a bride and groom dressed in outerwear and furs. After the bride and groom were lifted into position the music changed and suddenly all the couple’s platforms started spinning as the models embraced and kissed.
The models in the show were all from Wilhelmina Models and the bride and groom were real life couple Clark Bockelman and Marloes Stevens. Model friends of TWELV Magazine like Paulina Panas, Isabella Oberg, and Cece Yost were among the cast as well.
Models James Edward Quaintance III and Melie Tiacoh, who were both in green on the left side of the stage, definitely stole the show with their passionate kiss at the finale – It was, to put it lightly…steamy!
The event was an obvious stand out during fashion week and reflected Moncler’s passion and dedication to sportswear. It was a wonderful show and we are pretty sure that this will go down in fashion history as one the biggest group makeout sessions.
