Miu Miu S/S2017 COLLECTION “Suddenly Next Summer”

Imagine yourself wearing whimsical patterns on a warm sunny day on the sandy coast of California. That was exactly the vision that photographer Alasdair McLellan brought to life for Miu Miu’s Spring-Summer 2017 campaign entitled “Suddenly Next Summer”. The campaign stars Elle Fanning, Lara Stone, Karen Elson, Carolyn Murphy, Sonia Ben Ammar, Elsa Brisinger, Birgit Kos, Mayowa Nicholas, and Ellen Rosa.
Released within the first week of 2017, Miu Miu brought in the new year with this playful, sun-washed campaign, marking the British photographer's third project for the brand. Similar to their Fall-Winter 2016 campaign,“Found Narratives,” McLellan decided to stick to the 60’s beach-girl theme with shots of the girls laying in the sand, strolling along the water's edge, and taking dips into the ocean. A retro treatment is given to the founder Miuccia Prada's desire to create clothing that makes women feel comfortable, and the collection brings together everything that the Miu Miu woman might hope for her wardrobe, from luxurious leather purses to boldly-printed knit coats and floral-embellishments galore.
