MARCHESA SPRING 2016: TIMELESS ELEGANCE

Marchesa is known for classically feminine designs and complex yet tastefully understated details. For over ten years, the New York based label has been clothing Hollywood heavyweights like Sandra Bullock, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift, among many others. With spring in its infancy, the iconic designer has released a bridal line that effortlessly evokes the delicate beauty of this wonderful season.

If you asked a thousand women to imagine their fantasy wedding dresses, I’d wager that most all of them would picture something close to Marchesa’s Spring 2016 collection. These pieces are astoundingly demure and overflowing with class. Clean silhouettes, delicate lacework and gorgeous accents characterize this sixteen-piece ensemble of dream-dresses. Looks 1 and 16 are highlights, the former looking worthy of an elf-queen during her crowning ceremony, and the latter a perfect, florally inspired representation of THE spring aesthetic.

With the exception of two especially regal options, the entire collection features bare or dropped shoulders -- perfect for enjoying cool breezes infused with the pleasant perfume of spring blooms. The trains are short to moderate length -- nothing outlandish here -- and the tailoring is tight, aside from two pieces with flared bottoms.
