Skin care mogul, Linda Rodin, 65, was headhunted by the Olsen sisters themselves to be their lead model in The Row’s Pre-Fall 2014 lookbook.
Alongside younger models Ursula Wallis and Esther de Jong, Rodin slipped on the latest Mary Kate and Ashley-designed pieces in the ads.
The former child actresses became world famous during the 1990s through their shared role as Michelle in Full House. The Olsen’s had a promising and profitable acting career throughout the first two decades of their lives but decided their ultimate passion lied in fashion. Craving change, the duo moved away from their Hollywood child star image to become fashion icons, launching The Row in 2007.
Linda Rodin is a former model and Harper's Bazaar editor, who now owns her namesake skincare empire RODIN, which has a cult-status following. By featuring Rodin in their ads, the Olsen sisters are pioneering a new trend, the mature model movement, that is slowly popping up everywhere. Together with former supermodel Carmen Dell’Orefice and Sarah Wiley, Rodin is joining what Wiley is referring to as the ”gang of older models.”
The Olsen twins continue their legacy of innovation within the fashion world by unexpectedly including the stunning Rodin into their lookbook. The original collaboration proves to jolt the industry while sustaining the Olsen domination.
