MANTRA OF A NEW YORKER
Today I am presenting TWELV's most recent editorial work, a collection of stunning images
featuring HYKE's new Fall/Winter collection. Earthy tones and crisp lines take the eyes on a
pleasing journey with the movement of the fabric. Large beige coats paired with jeans are
without a doubt a necesity now more than they have ever been. A few items have interestingly
played with fringes; further enveloping me in the very western feel of this collection's story.
It is reminiscent of sport; fast movements like the fringed pants and gentle flows from the pleated
wrap skirt alike. All the looks are paired with sneakers, it's practical, raw, and real. Practicality
and simplicity do not need to mean a negligence in style, and the New York fashion scene in
particular nails this mantra. HYKE's 2019 Fall/Winter Collection is certainly in this element. A
piece I am particularly fond about is the dark wool trench coat. It has a "caped" bust area and
large belt around the waist, making it stand out compared to regular cookie cutter trenchs.
Model Dani Witt stuns with her sophisticated and cool energy, creating a well achieved harmony
between model and fashion. She has previously done campaigns for Coach and Zara among many.
