The runway is a facade for designers to stage their vision, the strictly choreographed back-and-forth of models shinning a never-ending flow of clothes.
CLARKS SOHO STORE GRAND OPENING

The British brand CLARKS has a long history of shoe making and has forever made a mark in the industry. When CLARKS opened the doors to its first SoHo store, their largest store in the US, TWELV MAGAZINE was of course there to celebrate with them. In an abundance of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, English beer, and models dressed as British Redcoats, TWELV discovered this new downtown location and the story behind it. The store, which opened late August, will be featuring a mix of CLARKS ORIGINAL shoe styles and new footwear designs for both men and women. All new collaborations and events will be rolled-out at CLARKS' SoHo store, many of which will be sold exclusively at this location. Currently in store is the brand's second collaboration with the Irish Contemporary designer ORLA KIELY. With a playful and retro vibe, the shoes are a mix of masculine pony-leather boots and girly mid-heeled Mary Jane styles. Fan of this British brand or not, the well-designed store crossing the building between Broadway and Mercer street is worth a visit.
