CELINE is an international brand that has been around for 75 years, but the styles of this French ready-to-wear brand are timeless. Bag lovers, unite!
The Soft16 handbag is an updated, every-day bag that complements the existing ‘16’ line, which was the first handbag designed by Hedi Slimane once he took over as CELINE’s artistic director. Slimane did not hesitate to revamp the brand’s traditional flair and replaced it with his personal signature, true to his reputation.
The new Soft 16 is available in two types of leather: smooth calfskin and supple grained calfskin. The smooth calfskin is available in a tan colour, while the supple grained calfskin is available in pebble and black colours. The lightweight, the shoulder carry bag is a more casual version of the ‘16’ line. It has a relaxed shape with an inner flat pocket and two internal compartments. The Soft 16 measures 15 X 10 X 7 IN (38 X 26 X 18 CM), as opposed to the other bags from the ‘16’ line, which are available in a myriad of sizes. It also features a turn-lock closure and gold metal hardware. The price point is from 2,650 USD.
CELINE is notorious for luxury leather goods and is obviously a VIP favourite, including Lady Gaga’s. But you don’t have to be a celebrity to feel like one. CELINE’s Soft 16 handbag is a sight for sore eyes, and its luxury leather will make any handbag owner lust over the new design.
