On May 7, Carrera Sunglasses hosted Ignition Night to celebrate their new line of sunglasses and honor the brand’s roots: “Racing Since 1956”. The evening also promoted their unique clientele: “Energetic individuals who choose to live a discerning life at full speed” and their respective industry professionals.
Upon entering the event space, guests were greeted with a step and repeat to commemorate the night and then could proceed inside to find display cases filled with vintage and iconic lenses. The tag line “YOU RACE OR YOU DON’T” was projected onto the exposed-brick walls, creating an energetic, warehouse-type atmosphere. Partygoers could enjoy complimentary drinks called “Carrera Crazes” as they wandered in and out of the large, furniture-less rooms amongst the projected neon lights and playful DJ.
Eyeglasses and sunglasses stations were set up throughout the venue; guests could try on any pair from the new collection and take a photograph. The new collection celebrated the brand’s “four chic philosophies” which are Icons, Muses, Craze and Active. Each room of the venue was devoted to one of these philosophies.
Attendees included fashion editors, bloggers, musical guests The Dolls and Capitol Cities, DJ Kayper, and many employees from the music, fashion, and art industries.
