The runway is a facade for designers to stage their vision, the strictly choreographed back-and-forth of models shinning a never-ending flow of clothes.
BVLGARI EVENT WITH ENRICO BRIGNANO

Known for their bold and florid designs, BVLGARI fine jewelry pieces are instantly recognizable. BVLGARI has become a favorite among celebrities and jewelry admirers for over a century due to the brand’s vibrant aesthetic, the master craftsman level of detail in each piece, and their uniquely Italian design style.
On Friday the Twelv team and I had the privilege of attending a party held at the 57th st and 5th avenue BVLGARI store in honor of Italian comedic actor Enrico Brignano, who stars in the musical “Rugantino” that is coming to Broadway this summer. BVLGARI was also celebrating the brand’s 130th anniversary and announced the company’s decision to finance the refurbishment of Rome’s famous Spanish Steps.
The jewelry on display at the event exemplified everything that the brand is famous for; the ancient coins, the B.Zero1 barrel rings, the colorful cabochons, and of course the iconic Serpenti collection. The serpent has been a motif found throughout the history of jewelry; however, BVLGARI has reimagined the form of the snake and thus created a more modern and geometric, serpent inspired collection.
I had the incredible opportunity to try on a few of the Serpenti bracelets and watches. The articulated wraps of the bracelets and watches coil and uncoil around the wrist as you put on or take the snake off. Every millimeter of these pieces were covered in pave diamonds. The weight of the bracelets felt substantial but surprisingly comfortable, these pieces felt amazing to wear- not only because they were stunningly beautiful, but also because they were true works of art and master craftsmanship.
