The runway is a facade for designers to stage their vision, the strictly choreographed back-and-forth of models shinning a never-ending flow of clothes.
Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2022 Collection alongside 12 artists

To illustrate creativity emerging from countless perspectives, Alexander McQueen invited a group of 12 artists to get inspired and create by their “Process” Pre-Fall 2022 Collection.
The commissioned artworks that resulted from a creative dialogue between the artists and the fashion house can be admired in a temporary installation at the brand’s Bond Street store in New York City, designed to showcase the unique approaches and how artworks and looks interact.
Each artist has chosen a look from the collection and responded to it through their preferred medium, initiating “bold and thought-provoking conversations with their works,” as Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen’s creative director said.
The artworks designed by: Ann Cathrin November Høibo, Beverly Semmes Bingyi, Cristina de Middel, Guinevere van Seenus, Hope Gangloff, Marcia Kure, Jackie Nickerson, Jennie Jieun Lee, Judas Companion, Marcela Correa, and Marcia Michael; are displayed alongside McQueen pieces.
“We wanted the artists to have total freedom to respond to the looks; I hope that viewers will be as inspired as we have all been by witnessing these creative processes,” Sarah Burton added.
