MAC’s Reel Sexy

The latest collection in MAC’s line of cosmetics, Reel Sexy, is dramatic and bright, the embodiment of Spring and Summer. Coinciding with the color-blocking trend in fashion, the collection is also a great way to incorporate the seasons’ bright colors into your makeup. With four shades of lipstick, lip gloss, eyeshadow duos, and eye kohl’s. Three shades of nail lacquer, two shades of blush, and a mineralize skin finish. The colors range from bright corals, to pink, dark violet, and dark turquoise, all matte and pearled for a custom final look. The video above, directed by Miles Aldridge and starring top model Kristen McMenamy; takes viewers into a dreamlike theatre, where Kristen drinks out of a large green cup with a pink straw, while wearing a ferocious purple fur vest. Her long two tone manicured nails don’t go unnoticed, as she both laughs and cries while eating pink popcorn. The video reel is an artful pun, on name of the MAC collection, Reel Sexy.
The special edition collection is available until May 24th, 2012.
