THE STREETERS #81

November 30, 2017 1:00 PM

As the temperature continues to be unpredictable in Manhattan, the style found out on the city remains unphased and original. This collection of STREETERS includes frills, thrills and chills, as New Yorkers layer with ease, portraying the epitome of New York City chic.

Retro looks with a pop of color continue to rule the sidewalks and turn heads of curious onlookers. Take it from 23-year-old techno D.J., Wilhelmina model, and latest Rihanna muse, Sita Abellan, striking a pose with her infamous blue hair, oversized hoop earrings, and calf-grazing white boots, tying her outfit together with an irresistible Marc Jacobs cross-body bag.

Flowy sleeves and bell bottoms remain in the spotlight, and eclectic crisp prints make a posh statement. All the while, gladiators, capris and bombers take a final bow. We’re reminded that the simplicity of statement pieces truly never goes out of style. As the bags are getting smaller and the jewelry bigger, spunk, graphic tees and an eye for detail are game-changers.

Rapper Young Paris was spotted in his unforgettable Congolese face paint, wearing eccentric blue suede and a pair of embroidered slack-sweatpant hybrids. And there’s no arguing that the political era in which we live is the most exciting time to proudly embrace individuality and express freedom in a poised way. New York City-goers prove that gender neutral clothing is here to stay, and mixing and matching last season’s pieces with transitional elements is a must as we head into the colder months.
