No make-up company has a more storied history firmly ensconced in New York showbiz.
blog party: One, Two, THREE FLOOR!
Julia Lang is the 25 year old blogger behind www.geeksndfashion.com. She currently resides in Berlin, Germany but calls Machame, in Tanzania, Africa, home.
If someone were to ask me about my year spent in London, countless experiences overwhelm my mind. Dominating those experiences were my apartment in East London, Marni on Sloane Street where I used to work, two incredible seasons at LFW, THREE FLOOR and a friendship for life.
I always thought to myself, "If you really want to work in fashion, you have to live either in New York, London or Paris.” Having already lived several months in New York and perfectly ok with the fact that I can't speak French, I saw my future in London. My beliefs and notions were all re-affirmed after my first season at London's Fashion Week in September of 2011. I received an overwhelming amount of success, press-wise. One of the keys to my appeal was my bright yellow minimalist look.
A little time passed, and one day while checking my blog's inbox, I found a message sent by a somewhat unknown and new British fashion label, THREE FLOOR. Prior to that message, I had never heard of THREE FLOOR. I went straight to their website and within seconds was captivated.
Then it hit me, “I WANT TO WORK WITH THIS BRAND” and ironically, their press office was just 15 minutes from my apartment. As soon as I met the team, we all agreed, "It was meant to be!"
The London brand that was on the hunt for me after they saw me in a yellow Marni coat at LWF officially became my partner in crime. And one week later, I found myself on my way to attend Mercedez Benz New York Fashion Week, my luggage packed full of THREE FLOOR pieces. Rocking five iconic, badass looks in New York, the feedback was mind blowing. THREE FLOOR which was launched in November 2011, represents the head, heart and mind of fashion. With affordable prices, unique cuts, and particulate edge. These things and more are what I stand upon, and I can no longer see Geeksndfashion without THREE FLOOR.
