THE STREETERS #59 NYFW S/S 2016
New York Fashion Week got us all ready to put our best looking selves out there. It’s the time of the year that some gals and guys – New Yorkers or not – wear outfits that they’ve been planning for at least a month or so. The result? The audience gets a show of gorgeous, crazy and inspiring outfits. A hint of what the next seasons are going to be like.
I absolutely love the mix of basic colors, and interesting textures created by model Kira Dikhtyar. The silver high knee boots combined with icy white trench coat and the charcoal snake skin clutch resulted in a chic combination. Shaylene Lunam kept it simple with her all black look. Her crop top and high slit skirt were on fleek. Blogger and stylist Kristine Agabaian stepped up on the game to show us how to layer like a pro. She achieved perfection by combining a black jumpsuit with a white tee, a whole mix of necklaces and a nude blazer.
There’s something that really attracts me to singer Greem Jellyfish’s outfit, I don’t really know if it’s the color, the print, the length, or the shape of her dress or if it’s all together. The combination is almost care-free, and super versatile. It contrasts a lot with what we’re used to see during the fashion weeks. Blogger Jen, from Modern Ensemble, didn’t go wrong with a classic combinations of stripes, lady like silhouette, high heels and red. Stylist Patrick Flip went ethnic chic, combining an embroidered stand collar shirt with black jeans, dress shoes, a wide brim hat and some jewelry.
NYFW had it all, colors, patterns, basics, over the top combinations and so on... And we were thrilled to be covering one more edition from the catwalk to the streets. Check out all the other amazing styles we found, and stay tuned for more of our coverage of Fashion Week.
