TWELV DIARY #24: NORA VAI

I’ve changed quite a few jobs before I went into modeling. Then the craziness began and everything else started changing - countries, apartments, agencies, bookers, wardrobes, hairstyles, friends, boyfriends... You’d think I should have learnt the secret to success by now. Not really. The best jobs I got when I was lacking last night's sleep, had pimples on my face or hadn't washed my hair. And the best boys were the ones always next to me, the ones that I have never considered before.
I’m always quite hard on myself and take judgments and people's opinions personally. But I’ve realized that you can always be too fat or too skinny, too sweet or too edgy, too shy or too arrogant, too young or too old, too chatty or too quiet and so on. Believe it or not, I’ve been told all of those things.
My new plan is to stop worrying and just go with whatever this crazy job brings, being myself and having fun with it all. Firstly, because I’m sure my mom is not even listening to me, when I tell her another “biggest drama of my life” on Skype. Secondly, because it couldn’t be a better place to be yourself than New York.
Whoever you are, you can always find people to relate to here.
Well, if you can’t, there’ll be someone at a nearest bar who “totally understands you.”
