LOUIS VUITTON "Series 3"

Nicolas Ghesquière has continued Louis Vuitton’s ongoing advertising campaign with "Series 3," featuring the LV Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection. The campaign was brought to life thanks to the unique photographic perspectives of two master photographers: Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber.
In this third campaign Nicolas Ghesquière has chosen to define the Louis Vuitton aesthetic by reflecting his passionate interest in modern architecture. The campaign also features actresses, established models, as well as new faces – all representing diverse ages and different nationalities. Together, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber focused closely on the diverse range of the women that Nicolas Ghesquière had select.
Teller shot Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly, Liya Kebede, Fernanda Ly, and Angel Rutledge near Barcelona at a sculptor's utopian home. The location of the campaign was inspired by Nicolas Ghesquière’s passion for modernist architecture.
Weber shot Freja Beha, Rianne van Rompaey and Julia Merkelbach on black and white film in an old airfield. His idea of travel and abstract graphics creates an enchanting cinematic story. The models play the roles of glamorous women who love to travel and jet set. Ghesquière and Weber came together to shot this elegant short film exclusively for Louis Vuitton.
Upon the release of this new campaign, Louis Vuitton is proud to announce that Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, known form her roles in Royal Affair (2012) and Seventh Son (2014,) will be staring in Ritchie’s next film The Man From U.N.C.L.E, with Henry Cavill. Alicia stars as Gaby Teller, the daughter of a mysteriously vanished German scientist who helps Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer’s characters infiltrate the international criminal organization. This movie presents Alicia Vikander, Henry Cavill, and Armie Hammer with high style, glamour, and a touch of winking humor.
Vikander has become Ghesquière's newest muse. In this, she has joined the ranks of other stars like Jennifer Connelly and Michelle Williams. Louis Vuitton will advertise the Fall/Winter 2015-2016 campaign collection in August issues of fashion magazines worldwide along with the release of the two videos shot by Teller and Weber. These videos will be available online and on the Louis Vuitton Pass.
