Jeremy Scott × Moschino NYFW F/W2014 READY-TO-WEAR
The fashion industry has waited months for this day to arrive, and now it is finally here: Jeremy Scott’s first collection for Moschino.
Fashion designer Jeremy Scott was appointed Moschino’s new Creative Director in October, just in time to start working on their FW 14 collection. As if these two fashion brands were not amazing seaparately, we could just imagine how it would end up when Moschino brought Jeremy Scott in, and the result was, to no surprise, beyond amazing.
The label has always been known for showing ready-to-wear clothing with iconography and cheeky gold features. This year’s collection was no exception, and on the runway we could spot McDonalds’ logo, Spongebob, Hershey’s Chocolate and a nutritional facts wedding dress. The selection of pop art in the collection was huge, and fit the brand perfectly. There was also a vast collection of chic streetwear and dresses easily wearable on red carpets, and the Jeremy Scott-Moschino combination already has A-list celebrities roaming the streets of every major fashion city with the designs.
As the designer showed in Milan on Febrauary 20, both the front row and the model selection was possibly one of the best this season, and stars like Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Franca Sozzani, and Anna Dello Russo were spotted in the front row. Supermodels Lindsay Wixon, Jourdan Dunn and Sasha Luss were flown in to Milan after busy weeks in New York and London to contribute to the show. Jeremy had his own amazing show in New York just two weeks ago, and this one was just as good.
The Jeremy Scott-Moschino symbiosis is one of the best news in the fashion industry this year, and we are sure there is many amazing seasons to come for the Italian label.
