THE DRAMA OF BLACK AND WHITE
Sometimes simplicity is best. Marina Moscone’s Fall 2019 Collection has a stark but minimal approach for the woman but with a masculine feel to it. This particular clothing line dramatically appeals to the dominant black and white. Marina Moscone was born in Vancouver, Canada to an Italian father and South African mother. Raised in a household surrounded by art and culture, her upbringing inspired her love for fashion and sketching from an early age. Moscone studied at Parsons School Of Design and then branched out into other roles in the fashion industry.
Model Ellen Vang wears Moscone’s black sleek silk vest that cuts below the waist with a sensual gaping neckline. Paired off with the vest is the plush casual black pants. They flare out giving way to the black boots worn by Vang.
The black blazer that drapes off Vang is an example of the androgynous look for a luxurious night out on the town. Then there is the sophisticated yet simple black dress that is a throwback to the 90s. Simple, yet elegant.
The white dress donned with the black boots and black elastic headband seals the deal for me. This piece is a reminder of what a minimalistic approach with the drama of black and white can do for a woman in an artistic backdrop of one of many architectural gems. Vang has modeled for Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain’s Autumn/Winter 2019 line.
