BERNHARD WILLHELM x CAMPER: A COLORFUL & QUIRKY COLLAB

Each season Camper teams up with a creative selection of designers to fuse their signature style with that of the designer’s aesthetic, giving rise to the ‘Camper Together With’ footwear range. One particular style in the SS ‘13 collection that caught our eye here at TWELV, is the Camper x Bernhard Willhelm women’s high top sneaker. The result of this collaboration is a fun, fresh and fashion forward kick, which is perfect for summer adventuring.
The sneaker features a blend of bright eye-popping color, comfortable cushioning, geometric retro detailing, and last but not least, easy laces that ensure time out in the beautiful sunshine will not be missed. These shoes are definitely breaking away from the darker tones of winter and welcoming the SS ’13 season with bright in-your-face hues. They push the boundaries in typical Willhelm style, while remaining comfortable and practical, á la Camper. Their individuality and colors are reminiscent of German born Willhelm’s unique artistic style, which blends seamlessly with Camper’s reigning themes of wearability and comfort.
Style wise the sneaker is reminiscent of the unpredictability, nonconformity and fun evident in Willhelm’s individual clothing collections. Our conclusion is that this is a successful collaboration, a view in which I’m sure Camper agrees as they have continued collaborations with Willhelm since ‘09. We look forward to the AW ‘13 variation!
