Where are you from and what is your name: 

Ira Chernova. Born and raised in Moscow, based in NYC.

How were you scouted to model: 

When I was already into photography (which is my main job) some photographers who were familiar with my work started to ask me to model for them and it started from there.

Which agencies are you associated with: 

Re:Quest NYC, Monster Milano.

What are the challenges you have experienced during your modeling career: 

I can't think of any, I am happy with the way things are going so far. Then again - being on special arrangement board is way different and I spend most of my time with my photography.

What do you love about the industry: 

Many inspiring people doing interesting stuff.

Favorite designer:

I don't have a particular favorite designer in mind; however I have always been in love with Balmain, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, BLK DNM.

What would you tell anyone who want to discover modeling…advice to break it in the industry: 

Be confident, don't get angry, work hard and always be ready to learn.

Who is your role model: 

None.

Personal style:

It depends on the situation, mood and place. I am a big fan of leather and simple colors. 

Currently coveting: 

Nothing really, just got back from warm California so feeling quite restful and satisfied with life.

Upcoming projects: 

Many different shoots coming up.

Workout regimen:

I have not had much time recently to work out (shame on me).

How do you balance everything: 

Being a Virgo helps, however I get anxious when I have nothing to do.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years: 

I dont look that far ahead.

What is something you are unable to live without: 

Coffee.

What is something everyone does not know about you: 

I don't really have any secrets about myself.
