ALMOST FAMOUS #1: DIOR HOMME PARTY

Hello, my name is Kyla. I’m starting a blog called ALMOST FAMOUS. Blogging is new to me, but I’m really looking forward to it. I figure it's time in my life to try out something totally new and exciting. After moving to New York, I have been more daring about accepting adventures. Working at TWELV MAGAZINE teaches me how to comprehend this big, crazy, but wonderful world of fashion. When I hop off the subway in the Fashion District, everyone is running around in a hurry wearing, of course, all black. I feel the vibe and pressure of the industry on my walk to work. Because I have moved around so much, fashion is what I refer to when seeking comfort. The TWELV team is a group of hip, up-to-date and hard working friends of mine. I look forward to the things we will create and make happen together as a team.

Last night I got to attend a party for DIOR HOMME that Kris van Assche hosted in SoHo. Looking at the new collection was very intriguing. I really liked the basic colors and patterns that were used. Less is always more!  Sipping on the champaign and viewing the new line was a very glamorous activity.  I had an excellent time!

I’m a new fashion girl in New York. Living in this wonderland has been a dream and passion of mine. Coming from LA one year ago, I traded my car in for a yellow cab. This fashion business in NY is an adventure to me. The fashion parties and events makes me feel like I’m a diamond in a jewelry box.
